As Kamala Harris visited the border crossing with Mexico at Douglas in Arizona on Thursday, claims surfaced that Donald Trump had built the fence at the border crossing. However, Times Now can verify that the border fence that opens at Agua Prieta was built by President Barrack Obama in 2010.
As photos of Harris visiting the border and speaking to the border patrol, Trump War Room, the X account of Donald Trump's campaign, suggested in a post that Trump had built the fence.
Trump War Room shared a photo of Harris at the border along with an old video of her calling Trump's border project a "medieval vanity"
The post was captioned: "Kamala (2019): President Trump's border wall is a "medieval vanity project." Kamala (2024): Looks up in awe at that very medieval vanity project."

However, Associated Press confirmed in a report that the border which Harris visited was built by President Barrack Obama in 2010.
“They’ve got a tough job, and they need, rightly, support to do their job,” Harris said of the Border Patrol as she checked out a fence at the border. “They are very dedicated. And so I’m here to talk with them about what we can continue to do to support them. And also thank them for the hard work they do.”
