Ireland and South Africa will lock horns in the first T20I of the series on Friday (September 27). The match will be played in Abu Dhabi from 9:00 PM IST. The toss will take place at 8:30 PM IST. Aiden Markram will be leading South Africa while Paul Stirling will be leading Ireland.
The SA squad includes the likes of Tristan Stubbs, Wiaan Mulder, Nandre Burger and Lungi Ngidi among others. Apart from Stirling, Ireland's success will rely on the likes of Lorcan Tucker, Harry Tector, George Dockrell and Mark Adair among others.
SA recently played white-ball series against Afghanistan and West Indies. The Proteas suffered a shocking defeat in the ODI series against Afghanistan. They lost the series 2-1. Afghanistan sealed the series win by registering wins in the first two games.
West Indies whitewashed South Africa in the three-match T20I series. SA made it to the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup and they will hope to bounce back against Ireland.

We're definitely here with the mindset to win, but also to keep the slightly bigger picture in mind," SA captain Aiden Markram said before the first T20I of the series.
