Devara Movie Review: The story opens up in Ratnagiri (Chittoor, AP). At the heart of Devara lies the story of two friends, Devara (Jr NTR) and Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan). Both are part of the group that helps get smuggled goods via the Red Sea. Midway Devara realises the illegal works and wants to stop the Bhaira group. However, the Bhaira group resists. As the plot unfolds, we discover the complex history between the characters, adding depth to their characters.

Devara has a promising opening. The initial phase of an intricate plot unravels the truth behind something mysterious and unfolds as the narrative progresses. Soon, the film settles down as a typical action drama with dramatic action sequences and dialogues.
Jr NTR looks charming, and Saif Ali Khan too compliments him well. The dialogues aren’t particularly great and memorable, but it looks like the director was trying to focus on weaving a drama between Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. The one element that you get in abundance in Devara is beautifully choreographed and breathtaking action sequences. Yes, that’s one of the standout features and visually appealing.
From intense hand-to-hand combat to action sequences by the seaside, Devara delivers a visual feast for action enthusiasts. The action episode just before the interval leaves the audience in awe. Jr NTR delivers an electrifying performance showcasing his acting chops, effortlessly transitioning between intense emotional moments and action-packed sequences. The intensely choreographed fights and stunts showcase NTR’s dedication and physical prowess, setting a new standard for action films in India. The Aayudha Pooja song was nicely shot.
Unfortunately, Janhvi Kapoor is nowhere visible in the first half of Devara Part 1. So far the film is okay, but a bit on the slower side; let’s see how the drama picks up and unfolds in the second half.
