India are all set to take on Bangladesh in the crucial final match of the two-Test series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Rohit Sharma and his men have already won the first Test, and needs to win the second game in order to seal a series whitewash and go one step further in cementing a spot in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025. Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has suggested a big ommission from the side in the for the second Test in the form of superstar fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets- four in the first innings and one in the second innings- in the first Test and was one of the key performers for India in the match. Despite this, Manjrekar wants him to be rested.
"Bring In Kuldeep Yadav, Rest Jasprit Bumrah": Sanjay Manjrekar
In an interaction with ESPN Cricinfo, Sanjay Manjrekar said that India would have benefitted from playing Kuldeep Yadav in Chennai, and the left-arm leg spinner should not be dropped so easily. He said that Kuldeep should play in the second Test instead of Jasprit Bumrah, who should be given rest if he wants to.

I feel Kuldeep Yadav should not be dropped so easily. I believe that even if it was not a turner, India would have benefited from playing Kuldeep Yadav in Chennai because the seamers will get help for just one or one-and-a-half days on an Indian pitch," Manjrekar said.
"If Bumrah wants a rest, give him. Try and get Kuldeep Yadav back," the former India batter added.
