English Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City will begin their campaign in the 2024-25 Carabao Cup tonight with home ties. Chelsea will begin their campaign against league two side Barrow at Stamford Bridge, while the Citizens will host Watford at the Etihad Stadium.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, they are looking to make up the disappointment of losing last year's final to Liverpool and win the competition for the first time since 2015. Since they won the competition, Chelsea have lost the final three times, with two defeats to Liverpool and one at the hands of Pep Guardiola's men.
City are looking to win their crown back after winning the competition four times in a row between 2018 and 2021. After facing early exits for the last three seasons, the Manchester-based outfit go into this season's competition as the favorites to lift the title.
