The competition will offer a whopping prize money of $50000 and Somer Dalla-Bona will be one of the main attractions in the tournament.

Who is Somer Dalla-Bona?

Somer Dalla-Bona is an MLP Australia champion and is also the captain of the Northern Crocs. She will be participating in the India Masters which will mark her first pickleball event in the country. She has swiftly made her transition to pickleball from tennis and has been immensely successful. Known as one of the best female players in the game to take the court, Somer-Dalla Bona will be looking to unleash herself in India and her winning spirit and unstoppable energy make her one of the most sought-after names in the world of pickleball.

Recently, Pickleball League Asia Private Limited in association with The Times Group launched the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) at a grand event in Dubai on July 24. PWR aims to improve sports governance and future longevity by uniting regional groups under a single, cohesive structure.

This PWR DUPR India Masters will be the first stop in the PWR DUPR Indian Tour which also has other cities in the schedule. Delhi will be followed by Mumbai and Tsu (Japan), Ahmedabad (March 2025), Pune (June 2025), Bengaluru (August 2025), Hyderabad (September 2025), New Delhi (October 2025) and Chennai (November 2025).

Former world no. 1 tennis player and prominent pickleball enthusiast Andre Agassi will visit India in January 2025 to flag off the PWR DUPR Indian Tour & League officially.
