On Chuseok, BTS' J-hope and his mom made a generous donation to a dog shelter in Busan. The mother-son duo, who have been supporting the abandoned dog shelter for three years now, sent a bunch of food for the dogs on the special occasion.

BTS' J-hope donates dog food to shelter

On September 19, a dog shelter volunteer shared via a blog that J-hope and his mom had made generous donations to the shelter during Chuseok. “We would like to once again thank BTS’ J-hope for always sending the kids food without fail,” the blog read.

The volunteer further shared, "Before Chuseok, J-hope's mom contacted me and told me about the dog food, and I'm so grateful that she always sends me the dog food. The shelter auntie also said she feels like she's rich every time the dog food comes, and she's so happy."

Despite being busy with military duties, J-hope didn't forget to spread positivity on the special occasion. For the unversed, in April 2023, J-hope enlisted in the military as an active-duty soldier. He had entered the 36th Infantry Division recruit training center in Wonju, Gangwon Province to receive five weeks of basic military training before being transferred to his current station. He will be discharged from the military in October this year.

On the work front

Before enlisting for mandatory military service in April last year, J-hope had released his debut solo album Jack In The Box in July 2022 as well as collaborative singles with J.Cole and Crush. On March 29, he released his new project, Hope On The Street. The project includes a documentary that follows J-hope’s story as a dancer as well as a new album, Hope on the Street Vol 1.
