Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is going on in full swing. In the September 18, 2024, episode of the quiz-based TV reality show, Rakshinda Alvi from Delhi won the Faster Finger First round and took the hotseat opposite Big B. She played confidently and impressed the host as well as the audience. However, Alvi unfortunately got stuck in the Rs 50 lakh question and decided to quit the game.
The question that Rakshinda failed to answer
Rakshinda faced a difficult question about the Ranji Trophy. Amitabh Bachchan asked her, “In 1934, who bowled the first-ever delivery in the history of the Ranji Trophy?”
The options were:
A. MJ Gopalan
B. Mohammad Nissar
C. Amar Singh
D. DB Deodhar
The correct answer to the Rs 50 lakh question was MJ Gopalan.

The contestant thought for a while but decided to not risk it and quit the game. Once she had quit, Big B asked Alvi to make a choice and she selected the wrong option. Big B said, “Ye ek all-rounder the jo ki Ranji Trophy mein Madras ki taraf se khelte the. (They were an all-rounder who played for Madras in the Ranji Trophy.)”

Rakshinda Alvi took home a prize money of Rs 25 lakh. She works in the Home Ministry.
