al A young student’s inappropriate conduct has been called out on social media after a video of his proposal to the teacher went viral. The clip shows a female teacher getting heckled mid-lecture, only for one of her online class attendees to ask if she’d marry him.
While the exact time or place of the incident are unknown, a reverse image search on the internet reveals that the video was only recently shared online.
The clip starts with the teacher asking the student in question for their “quality question”, to which the unidentified pupil responds: “Ma’am, are you married?”
“No, I’m not married,” the teacher answers.
“Then, I love you Ma’am,” he says.
The lecturer initially tried to sidestep the awkwardness by saying she loves all of her students, but her persistent heckler doubled down, cutting in, “No, Ma’am. No, Ma’am.”
“Will you marry me?” he asked unambiguously.

The behaviour wasn’t received well on social media, where people called it “shameful” and "disgusting".
“Teacher shouldn’t entertain such questions at all irrespective of gender & these male students and their parents should be ashamed of themselves. Hope she files a defamation lawsuit against them,” read a comment.
Another said: “This is unfortunate..where are we heading? I request the govt to spread awareness on the contraceptives. It's really needed today.”
“Then tell why rape is happening because we normalise these activities in our society. We should give harsh punishment to these badbodar people who do these activities. But unfortunately our politicians are backbone to these people,” wrote one user.
That said, not every time that someone proposes in class is disgusting.
In March, Navneet Tiwari, an Adda247 educator, popped the question to his colleague, Sona Sharma, during a YouTube livestream titled the “Biggest Surprise Reveal.”
Sharma said yes, adding that she didn't expect it tp happen like this.
