Unfiltered Aparshakti Khurana

What is your favourite film done by you?

Dangal because it happened so early in my career that I had no idea that it would put me on the map.

So would you like to call Dangal the turning point of your career?

No, Dangal wasn’t the turning point of my career. There are many turning points, fromDangal toJubilee to Stree… there’s so many things that have been the turning points of my life, but I think the main turning point was when I switched from Delhi High Court to a radio station. That was a turning point because before that I wasn’t doing anything creative professionally, so if I hadn’t done that then none of these things would have happened; neither music nor radio nor acting nor theater would have happened, so that was the turning point of my life.

Alright, what is your favourite film of Ayushmann?

Andhadhun.

Do you have any go-to movies, like comfort films, that you love watching again and again?

Dil Chahta Hai.

Okay, and what do you love the most about it?

The chemistry between the three friends. It's just so you, you can relate to; you just go back to your school college friends and discuss life and everything.

Do you have a dream character in mind that you want to play and any director you want to collaborate with for that?

Any sports biopic or a musician's biopic will be something that can be a dream role for me. And a director I would love to work with is…there are many, especially in today; there are a lot. So from Vasan Bala to Sujit Sarkar to Rohit Shetty to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, all of them.

What is your comfort food?

My comfort food is the Rajma Chawal and Aloo Ke Paranta.

So you just mentioned that you want to do biopic. So in sports, who's biopic?

Maybe Bhaichung Bhutia.

The next question is, if you ever get an opportunity to go on a dinner date with a Bollywood actress, who would it be? What do you want to talk about?

I am someone whose life revolves around food. And on a date, I think what's on the menu, maybe, music. What are the choices of music, you know, the person likes…

And who would it be?

Oh, I have had an all-time crush on Neetu Ji, I mean Neetu Kapoor. I think she's one of the prettiest women in the entire film industry. I would love to go on a date with her.

When you look back and see your journey, how do you feel about it?

I have a very straightforward word for it, and I always use that word. It's called the Sally Baksh, which means extremely satisfied.
