Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 74 today. While he is all set to spend his day inaugurating key welfare schemes in Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and leaders are celebrating 'Seva Parv'. Born as Narendra Damodardas Modi on September 17, 1950 in the nondescript Mehsana town of Gujarat, he served as the state’s CM for three consecutive terms (2001-14) and is now the Prime Minister for the third time.

While many businesses including auto drivers have announced discounts on their offerings ranging from 10 per cent to 100 per cent on September 17, Rajasthan’s popular Ajmer Sharif Dargah is set to dish out 4,000 kg vegetarian langar to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday.

How PM Modi Will Celebrate His 74th Birthday

As PM Modi turns 74 on September 17, 2024, the BJP is all set to launch 'Seva Pakhwara' or 'Seva Parv' as part of the celebrations. PM Modi will be visiting Odisha on Tuesday, where he will inaugurate 26 lakh PM Awas houses at Gadakana in Bhubaneswar and ‘Subhadra Yojana’.

PM Modi will proceed to the Gadakana slum area near Sainik School of Bhubaneswar after landing in Odisha, where he will interact with the PM Awas beneficiaries. Following this, PM Modi will go to Janata Maidan, where he will launch the Subhadra Yojana.

What is Seva Parv?

Seva Parv or Seva Pakhwara is a fortnight-long festival that the BJP organised every year to showcase his commitment to citizens’ welfare and also service to mankind. Under the initiative, blood donation camps and Swachhata Abhiyaans will be organised across the country. Party workers and volunteers will undertake cleanliness drives at hospitals, schools and other public places.
