After gunshots were fired near Donald Trump's golf club in West Palm, Florida, his campaign issued a statement confirming the former president is safe. However, several MAGA supporters, including Laura Loomer, linked the shooting incident to his criticism of 'illegal immigration'. The Secret Service and other authorities are yet to issue a detailed statement.
The New York Post cited sources to report that the Secret Service spotted a suspicious individual on the Trump International Golf Course. “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said.

She further added that the former president was talking about immigration statistics in Butler, Pennsylvania when Thomas Matthews Crooks shot at him. The Trump supporter said that the Republican presidential nominee's claims about Haitian immigrants 'eating cats, dogs and other pets' in Springfield, Ohio could be the motive behind the Sunday shooting.
