Pune: A horrific video of dogs attacking a child in a village in Maharashtra’s Pune district. In the terrifying CCTV footage, a kid could be seen playing outside a locality trying to call a dog. Suddenly, another dog from the opposite side came running and attacked the child.
Soon after, one by one, five dogs came there and pushed the child to the ground, began biting and dragging the child. After a few seconds, a woman rushes out from the nearby house and other people from the locality are seen running towards the child with sticks, and slippers in hand to frighten the dogs. The incident happened in the Kadachiwadi village of Chakan area in the city.

The dogs run away leaving the five-year-old child severely injured. Several such incidents of dogs attacking children and other people from different areas of the country have come forth in the past few months.
Bengaluru has also been grappling with the dogs' menace and hence, the Animal Husbandry Department of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a helpline number to help citizens report dog bite incidents. This move comes after more than 16,000 stray dog bites were reported since January this year.
BBMP officials said that, in collaboration with WVE and CARE Institute, the helpline number 6364893322 has been established for residents to file complaints about dog bites and suspected cases of rabies. Residents can also call the corporation helpline number 1533 for their complaints, according to a New Indian Express report.
Bahraich Wolf Attacks
Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh has been seeing attacks by wolves who are attacking people and many such cases have instilled fear in the residents. Recently, a 50-year-old woman was severely injured after she was grabbed by her throat by a wolf at her home in Bahraich in the latest incident
The man-eating wolves, since mid-July, have been wreaking havoc in the district. The wolf was reportedly hiding in her home after it sneaked inside through a door that was left open by mistake.
"…The incident took place at 10 pm when she was sleeping. One of the children might have opened the door and it (wolf) was hiding somewhere. It came and grabbed her by the throat. The family members heard her cry and ran towards her to find out. The people in the neighbourhood also gathered and then it (wolf) ran away… I was not present there," the woman's son-in-law said, according to ANI.
