Jake Fraser-McGurk finally ended his below-par run in the 2nd T20I against England and scored a quick half-century at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. McGurk, who made his T20I debut in the three-match series against Scotland, scored a brilliant 50 off 31 balls. Batting with a strike rate of 161.29, McGurk hit 2 sixes and 4 boundaries in his knock.

McGurk's quick knock saw him create history and become the second-youngest half-centurion for Australia. David Warner acquired first and second spots, respectively. Warner became the youngest Australian to score a half-centurion in T20Is in January 2009.

The former Australia opener was 22 years and 76 days old when he scored a half-century against South Africa. McGurk was 22 days and 155 days old on the 2nd of the three-match T20I series of the India-Sri Lanka series.
