Schools Holiday Today LIVE: School holiday is declared in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. India Meteorological Department, IMD has issued alert in these states as rains intensify in the Northwest regions of the country. Owing to the same, schools are closed today in UP's Agra, Eta, Kannauj and other districts, in Madhya Pradesh, schools are closed in Bhopal and Ashoknagar. Similarly, Uttarakhand schools are closed in Dehradun and Chamoli.

IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. According to the IMD weather forecast issued on September 11, these states will witness incessant rains till Saturday.
As a repercussion, IMD has issued an orange alert for East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and East Madhya Pradesh from September 11-13, while West Madhya Pradesh will be under an orange alert on Thursday and Friday.
