The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) faced severe criticism on social media after the 2024 Duleep Trophy match between India B and India C, led by Abhimanyu Eashwaran and Ruturaj Gaikwad, had no streaming or telecast available. Unlike the first round, where both matches were telecast and streamed, only one game is being telecasted this time.
While the India A vs India D game at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantpur is being shown to viewers around the country, the same is not true for the second game, which is taking place at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B. One possible reason for the lack of telecast is that the match between India B and C is being played at a secondary venue, typically used for training rather than actual matches. As a result of the streaming blackout, there is no DRS available for this match either.
However, the arrangements by the BCCI have come under question after the pre-tournament hype. The match in question features some of India's top cricketers like Ruturaj, Ishan Kishan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Rinku Singh, and Washington Sundar in action, but there is no way for fans outside those present in the stadium to watch it.

Fans were left fuming after the scorecard showed Ruturaj leaving the field after facing just two balls and was declared retired hurt with no information on what injury the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain suffered or how it happened.
Later, Kishan, playing a competitive red-ball game for the first time since July 2023 when he played a Test match for India against the West Indies in Port of Spain, made a century on his long-awaited comeback. Kishan made a dazzling ton in just 100 balls, but once again, cricket lovers could not witness it.

It's genuinely a shame that the richest cricket board can't even telecast two domestic games at the same time. After all the hype the Duleep Trophy got, it's absurd to think that you can only watch one of the two games.

Disappointed from BCCI. Only two games and you cannot even stream them together.

EXPLAINED: How Much Money Do Players Earn From Playing In Duleep Trophy
A new controversy has arisen amid chaotic scenes in the New Zealand-Afghanistan Test match, where play has been impossible on the first four days. On the first two days, organizers faced scrutiny as the wet outfield could not be repaired despite bright sunshine. The ground staff took extremes measures like using an electric fan over the patch and digging the outfield and replacing it with fresh grass but all went in vain.
In the second round of Duleep Trophy matches, all players selected for the Bangladesh series, except Sarfaraz Khan, left the tournament to join the national team. This meant Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yash Dayal, and Akash Deep are missing from action after playing the opening round.
