SpaceX Polaris Dawn commander Jared Isaacman opened the hatch of a Dragon spacecraft and made his way through to open space on Thursday, the first private citizen to ever achieve the feat. A webcast showed him orbiting Earth from an altitude of around 435 miles as mission control Hawthorne, California broke out in applause.
