A 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed after being dragged off a bike in Punjab's Patiala on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Karan. CCTV footage of the incident shows Karan being pulled off a bike where he was riding pillion by three men who were on another bike.
The three men then brutally assault Karan and stab him in his heart resulting in his death. The police said that the victim was taken to a hospital but died due to excessive bleeding. The incident took place in the Ablowal area of Patiala when Karan was heading to his house in Babu Singh Colony, the police said.
"Karan was heading home when he was surrounded by men on two motorcycles. They assaulted him and stabbed him in the chest. He was taken to a hospital but could not be saved because he had suffered blood loss. A case has been registered. Three of the attackers have been identified as Ansh, Amanmeet and Yuvraj. They will be arrested soon," a senior police official said.
An official said initial evidence points to personal enmity being the cause of the attack.
