BTS Crowned Most-Loved Boy Group Of 21st Century, Blackpink And Girls’ Generation Tie For Most-Loved Girl Group Title

Recently, prestigious research company Gallup Korea conducted a survey that was aimed to identify the most-loved musicians and songs of the 21st century. Taking place from August August 19 to 23, the survey included the responses of 1052 participants between the ages of 19 to 69.

BTS is the most-loved boy group

According to the survey results, BTS is recognized as the most-loved boy group of the 21st century among South Koreans. Over 74% voters chose the HYBE boy group. Following BTS, BIGBANG secured second place with 33% votes. Super Junior ranked 3rd (15% votes), TVXQ came in 4th (14% votes), EXO emerged at the fifth spot (13% votes), SEVENTEEN placed in sixth (8% votes), SHINee came in seventh (7% votes) and 2PM was eighth (5% votes). NCT and Wanna One tied for the ninth spot, with each group getting 4% of the votes.

As for the most loved girl group of the 21st century, Girls' Generation (SNSD) and Blackpink tied for the top spot. Both the groups garnered 42% of the votes. While SNSD garnered the most votes from the participants who were in their 30s and 60s, Blackpink received the highest percentage of votes from those in their 40s-50s.

NewJeans came in third with 25% of votes, followed by Wonder Girls at number 4 (21% votes), TWICE in the 5th place (13% votes), 2NE1 at 6th (10% votes) and IVE emerging at 7th (7% votes). The 8th position was a tie between aespa, KARA and Red Velvet. All three group had amassed over 5% votes. MAMAMOO, Apink, T-ara, SISTAR, (G)I-DLE, Brown Eyed Girls, 4minute, f(x), miss A and SECRET made it to the top 20 of the coveted list.
