Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old allegedly raped his mother in Rajasthan’s Bundi district. The shameful act surfaced on Wednesday. The accused is reportedly in an inebriated state. The incident took place on Friday, August 30.
According to the police, the accused was returning home to a village with his 52-year-old mother when he allegedly raped her. After the incident, the victim along with her younger son and daughter, reached Dabi Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused, reported PTI.
The police immediately swung into action and launched a manhunt operation to nab the survivor's elder son. The accused was arrested and during the initial interrogation, he confessed to his crime.
As per the police, the woman had gone to her brother's house along with her son. At an isolated place, the accused reportedly raped her mother.
"We have arrested the accused and further investigation is underway. the accused was produced before a court which sent him to judicial custody," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tarunkant Somani said as reported by the news agency.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
