New Delhi: A shooting incident took place in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar where a group of three – four miscreants fired a bullet at a 26-year-old man in the area. The victim, identified as Vikas, sustained serious injuries, and is currently hospitalised in Safdarjung Hospital, said his uncle Gyanchand. The Malviya Nagar Police received the information about the firing incident through a PCR call made by the victim’s uncle. Upon arrival, the police started an investigation to find out what caused the incident.
When Vikas, the victim, was hospitalised, Gyanchand told media that his nephew had alerted him that the miscreants would kill him when the gang was approaching. Gyanchand suggested that they should call the police, and resolve the matter calmly in their presence. But the accused gang refused to do so, started beating the victim. After which, they shoved him into the car, and tried to kidnap him but his uncle have him removed from the car somehow.
"When the guys in the car approached us, Vikas said uncle please save me, they will kidnap me and kill me. I suggested to call the police, and resolve the matter calmly. We tried to save him, and even got him out of the car when the gang tried to take him with them. He is currently in Safdarjung Hospital," said Gyanchand.
According to the police, the PCR call to the police was made by Gyanchand, informing them that Vikas was targeted in a shooting incident in Malviya Nagar, and received bullet injuries. Following the call, the police reached the incident site where they were informed by the locals that Vikas was already taken to the hospital. The reason of the incident is yet to be ascertain. The probe is on.

Delhi Club Shooting
In a separate such incident last week, a man was hospitalised after he was shot at by bouncers of a club outside Star City Mall in east Delhi. The police on Wednesday said a case of attempt to murder and the Arms Act have been registered at the Mayur Vihar police station. The officials said the incident occurred On Tuesday, August 27, late night when an argument broke out at the Black Mirror Club inside Star City Mall in Mayur Vihar.

The brawl occurred between the victim, along with his two friends and a woman inside the club. When Shoaib alias Ajju, Faizal and Faraz , as identified by the police, came on the dance floor, they allegedly made objectionable gestures at the woman who was also dancing in the club. This led to an argument first, and then the intervention by the club bouncers.
Meanwhile, Sohaib and his friends got into a fight with the bouncers. The gang was just also trying to escape at this moment but somebody opened fire at them. During which, the victim received an injury on his waist. He was taken to a hospital, and the police launched a probe in the matter. They have collected CCTV footage from inside as well as outside of the club for further investigation.
