viral video: gujaratis perform garba on flooded streets, internet praises 'festival spirit'

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, renowned for his influential presence on social media, never ceases to amaze people with his posts. Recently, the industrialist shared a video of a group dancing to Garba on the waterlogged streets of Gujarat. Several areas in Gujarat have been flooded following torrential rains that hit the western state. Despite the inundated roads, locals were seen performing Garba—a traditional Gujarati dance —which caught Mahindra's attention. "Gujarat aur Garba. Ek gazab ka rishta…Unstoppable (Gujarat and Garba, an amazing relationship)," wrote the Mahindra Group Chairman while sharing the video on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Netizens flocked to the comment section to share their views, with many highlighting that despite the floods, people are striving to spread positivity in the flood-ravaged state.

A third user remarked: "Learn from Gujaratis how to enjoy festivals in times of disaster."
