Skoda Auto is planning on expanding its model lineup in the Indian market. Before the launch, the brand released a teaser showing its upcoming vehicle. These vehicles are being marketed as "Sports Range" and will be the new version of Slavia and Kushaq sold in the country. Adding to that, the brand has revealed the Slavia Monte Carlo edition. Before the launch, the new version of the sedan started arriving at the dealer’s yard.
Based on the recent spy shots, the recently released images confirm that the upcoming models will be different variants of the Slavia and Kushaq. Earlier, there were speculations that these would be updated versions of existing vehicles in terms of features and equipment.
The spied Skoda Slavia is finished in Tornado Red shade which also gets black accents. Even though the whole car is not visible in the pictures, but the design is of the Slavia Monte Carlo. This will be a relatively more expensive version of the sedan already on sale in the country. It is worth mentioning that the Kushaq might get a similar trim.
To set it apart from the standard variant, the car now comes with special gloss black accents. Additionally, the brand might also offer elements like puddle lamps, scuff plates, and others. The brand will also add the Monte Carlo badging highlighting the special identity of the vehicle. The sedan will also get the black elements on the fog lamp, grille, alloy wheels, rear lip sport, trunk garnish, and more.
The interiors of the sedan also get upgrades in the form of dual-tone upholstery which follows an all-black theme with red highlights. There might be other upgrades in the form of added features like ventilated front seats, infotainment touchscreen, and more. The automaker might also add a sunroof, premium audio system, dash cam, aluminum pedals, and more.
Under the hood, the new sedan might also get a 1.5-litre TSI engine which gives out 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. This power is transferred to the wheels using a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
