NASA astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who are stuck in space since June, have a 'constant to-do list', a former astronaut told USA Today. Terry Virts, who was a commander of the space station, revealed that the two will be working on every day tasks like fixing toilets, changing fans or light bulbs. This comes as the space agency announced that Williams and Wilmore will have to wait until next year for a ride home with SpaceX. What should have been a weeklong test flight for the pair will now last more than eight months.
The pilots are at the International Space Station. Issues with the thruster of their capsule and helium leaks has extended Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore's stay in space.

According to NASA, the two are a part of the team on board the space station, which means they're performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting science experiments daily.
"Providing adequate water and nutrition to plants grown in space is critical as missions expand in low Earth orbit and beyond to the Moon and eventually Mars," NASA said.

Virts, a former NASA astronaut, told USA Today that Williams and Wilmore are running systems that make it possible for humans to survive in space
"There's a constant to-do list. Literally every day of your life on the space station, or almost every day, there will be some kind of maintenance. Fix the toilet or change out a fan or light bulb," Virts told the media outlet.
