faridabad police fines influencer rajat dalal after he knocks down biker, says 'roz ka yahi kaam hai mera'

Faridabad: The Faridabad police is issuing a challan against social media influencer Rajat Dalal for rash and negligent driving after a video surfaced online showing him allegedly knocking down a biker with his speeding SUV. The video, reportedly shot near the NHPC Metro Station, has sparked widespread outrage on social media.

Rajat Dalal, known for his controversial and provocative content, is seen in the video driving over 140 km/h on a busy highway. Despite warnings from a woman sitting beside him to drive carefully, Dalal dismisses her concerns. Moments later, he hits a biker but shows no remorse. In the video, the woman can be heard panicking and saying, "Sir, he fell down, please don’t do this," to which Dalal responds casually, "Wo gir gaya, koi baat nahi. Roz ka yahi kaam hai mera ma'am." (He fell down, it’s no big deal. It’s my daily routine).

The shocking footage, filmed by a passenger in the back seat, has been widely shared on social media, particularly on the platform X, where calls for Dalal's arrest have gained momentum. Despite the video's circulation and public outcry, no formal police complaint has been lodged against him yet, and the exact location of the incident remains unclear.

Social media users have been tagging the police departments of Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurugram, demanding action against the influencer. The incident has raised concerns over the increasing trend of reckless driving and the lack of accountability for such actions.

After activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj shared the viral video on her X account, the Faridabad police quickly took note and sought further details about the incident. Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad responded to the video, saying, "Please share your contact number via Direct Message. Thank you."

In response to this, one X user commented, "Customer care pe complain thodi kari hai. Ek crime report kiya gaya hai is video mein." The Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad’s X account replied promptly, clarifying, "We know that no complaint has been lodged with customer care. That is why we are trying to find out the date of the incident and let us tell you that the location of the incident has been traced. Thank you."
