Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is currently on a long break after helping India win the 2024 T20 World Cup. Recently, Bumrah made a public appearance after being invited to a college function in Chennai, where he was given a hero's welcome.
In the same program, Bumrah was asked which batters he finds the toughest to bowl to, and his reply to the question has gone viral all over social media. The 30-year-old stated that he does not want to let any batter get into his head, and when he is on the pitch, he believes that no batter can get the better of him.
"I want to give a good answer. The real factor is I don't want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone, but in my head I tell myself that if I do my job well that there is nobody in the world that can stop me. I look at myself rather than the opponent. I have control over everything and If I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself," Bumrah said at the event.

When Will Jasprit Bumrah Return To Action?
Bumrah has been away from the cricket field ever since the T20 World Cup final exactly two months ago on June 29. Bumrah had played a key role in India lifting the trophy for only the second time in history as he won the Player of the Tournament (POTM) award for taking 15 wickets in eight matches at a stunning economy of 4.17.
Bumrah was rested for India's tour of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, and his break has been extended as he will not play the 2024 Duleep Trophy. While all eyes are on having Bumrah fresh and fit for the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) later in the year, he is expected to play some parts of the home series against Bangladesh and New Zealand.
