Donald Trump promised to make IVF treatment free if he wins a second term, stating that he will make either the government or insurance companies cover all costs associated with in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, which are often prohibitively expensive, sometimes reaching tens of thousands of dollars per round. “We need more babies,” Trump said.
This proposal comes amid a wave of criticism directed at Trump from Democrats, who have scrutinized his role in appointing Supreme Court justices that led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, thus ending the Constitutional right to abortion. In addition to his IVF proposal, Trump revealed plans to allow new parents to deduct expenses related to newborn care from their taxes.
Trump's remarks also extended to his criticism of the Biden administration. He accused President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of presiding over “an economic reign of terror,” labeling their handling of inflation and financial matters as “one financial atrocity after another.”

As Trump intensifies his campaign efforts, he is focusing heavily on key battleground states that were pivotal in the 2016 election but slipped from his grasp in 2020. His campaign is now concentrated on Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania—states he won in 2016 but lost in the 2020 election. The push comes as Trump accelerates his travel to these critical states, gearing up for the fall election following the traditional Labor Day shift in campaign dynamics.
