Star Indian batter Rinku Singh, who is fast making his mark as a regular member of the Indian T20I team and one of the best batters in world cricket in the shortest format of the game, picked four Indian players when asked to name his favourite batter.
In an interaction with News24 Sports, Rinku unsurprisingly named India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma as well as former skipper Virat Kohli. The duo have been playing for the national team for more than a decade and are widely among the two greatest batters in Indian cricket history.
Rinku further named one left-hander, Suresh Raina, whom he shares a close bond with and hails from his same state, Uttar Pradesh. The 26-year-old picked India's newly appointed T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav as his fourth pick and stated that the 33-year-old's batting style is unique.

After being left out of India's T20 World Cup squad despite his incredible record for the Men in Blue, Rinku was recalled to the team and played all eight matches against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Rinku was key to India's win in their final T20I against Sri Lanka, as he was given the ball by skipper Suryakumar in a surprise move and responded by taking two wickets in the 19th over of the match. This was the first time Rinku bowled for India in the shortest format.
