Delhi: In a span of just 24 hours, Delhi witnessed three firing incidents, leaving two people dead and several injured. The police are actively investigating these cases, which have raised concerns over the growing violence in the city.
Mundka Shooting: Ex-Inmate Shot Dead
In the first incident, a man named Amit was shot dead in Mundka, Outer Delhi, by bike-borne assailants. The attackers fired six rounds at Amit, who had recently been released from Tihar Jail after being held on robbery charges. Police suspect that the motive behind this killing could be related to gang rivalry or personal enmity. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the exact reason behind this targeted attack.
Kabir Nagar Incident: One Killed, Another Injured
The second shooting occurred in front of Zia Medicos at Kabir Nagar, PS Welcome area. Three suspects on a motorcycle opened fire on Nadeem, also known as Bobby, and his friend Shahnawaz. Tragically, Nadeem succumbed to his injuries at GTB Hospital, while Shahnawaz sustained a leg injury. Following the attack, the assailants abandoned their motorcycle and fled the scene on the victim's scooty. Police are currently working to track down the perpetrators.
Jyoti Nagar Attack: Shots Fired at House
The third incident took place in Jyoti Nagar, where a 24-year-old resident named Rahul reported that his house was targeted by three men on a scooty. The attackers fired multiple rounds, and the police later recovered six empty cartridges and one live cartridge from the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. The police are examining the CCTV footage to identify the suspects involved.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with these shootings. The police are exploring various leads to determine whether these incidents are connected or were motivated by unrelated disputes. Further investigations are underway to bring the culprits to justice.
