2024 mercedes-benz e-class lwb to launch in india on october 9

Mercedes-Benz is planning on launching the brand new V214 E-Class LWB in the Indian market on October 9. It is to be noted that the German automaker had unveiled the sedan market earlier this month and is now prepared to announce the pricing of its new model. Meanwhile, the deliveries of the car will initiate in mid-October. To be introduced as an upgraded version of the outgoing model, the car will compete against rivals like the BMW 5-Series LWB in the domestic market.

The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be 13 mm taller and 14 mm longer when compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the car will have an increased wheelbase of 15 mm. All of this will be complemented by new front fascia which seems to be inspired by the Mercedes-Benz EQ and offers a refreshed appeal. The changes can be seen in the form of a large chrome grille and an oversized 3D logo surrounded by the Benz stars.

To go with the overall style, the German automaker offers flush door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. Following the style of the front fascia, the rear end gets new LED tail lamps with the tri-arrow pattern. Imitating the front end, the rear bumper is covered in chrome.

The opulent cabin of the sedan comes with the brand's superscreen layout. This setup consists of a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster. The car also gets a Burmester 4D surround sound system. All of this comes in three interior colours. The feature list of the car also includes a reclining feature for the rear seats with the reclining angle ranging between 26 and 36 degrees.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB will be offered with two engine options: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204 hp of power and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 197 hp of power. Both these units are supported by a 48V mild hybrid system which adds 23 hp of power and 205 Nm of torque. The power produced by this setup is transferred to the wheels using a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
